A former Silver Lake Regional School District employee accused of “inappropriate communications” online has been found dead.
Kingston Police say the investigation began after a video emerged depicting an adult male appearing to have a sexualized conversation with a social media streamer posing as a 15-year-old girl.
An investigation discovered the unnamed suspect lived in Plympton and at one point arrest and search warrants were being sought.
However, before those warrants could be obtained Rhode Island State Police reported Tuesday morning that the suspect had been found deceased.
While the matter is being investigated officials say that no foul play is suspected at this time.
Kingston Police say they have not received any information to believe that any students were victimized.
However, police say the investigation remains on-going to ensure no other victims exist.
