A Marshfield man is facing charges following an arrest at Duxbury Beach.

Duxbury Police say that at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday they received a report of a male vomiting outside a Jeep Wrangler in the area of Chandler St.

Officers arrived on scene but the vehicle had already left the area.

Later in the evening, at around 11 p.m., they received a report of a similar vehicle in the East Lot of the beach performing donuts and driving up onto dunes.

Officers arrived on scene and stopped the jeep.

They began speaking with the driver, identified as 37-year-old Michael Corbo, and noticed he had vomit on his clothes and face and what they determined to be signs of intoxication.

Police say when Corbo was asked to exit the vehicle he was unsteady on his feet and allegedly told officers “I’m drunk, I’m sorry.”

When they tried to arrest him he allegedly became combative and yelled and kicked at officers and pepper spray was utilized.

Police say one officer sustained minor injuries.

A 4-year-old was found in the back seat of the Jeep and he was unharmed and reunited with his mother.

Corbo is facing charges of OUI Liquor 3rd Offense, Child Endangerment while Operating Under the Influence, A&B on a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest.
