Have you spotted a Black bear?
The City of Brockton is warning residents and park visitors to use caution after confirming a Black Bear sighting in the Avon section of DW Field Park and DeMarco Park.
Brockton Emergency Management advises that if seen, do not approach or follow the bear.
They also advise keeping a close watch on pets, secure trash barrels, chicken coops, and remove bird feeders until the bear moves through the area.
Anyone who sees the bear is being asked to call Animal Control at 508-580-7835 or the Brockton Police non-emergency line at 508-941-0200.
