Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan speaks with WATD’s Dan McCready about the recent rains in the area, an ordinance regarding encampments, and National Adoption Day.

Drought conditions are being felt across Massachusetts.   Vandana Rao, Co-Chair of the Massachusetts Drought Task Force, tells WATD News this has been an ongoing issue for months.   Rao says this has led to an increase in fires.   Forecasters are hopeful we may experience some significant rainfall on Thursday.

The Massachusetts Department of Energy and Environmental Affairs says Massachusetts is in a “significant drought” status in the Northeast and Southeast regions of the Commonwealth.
