A member of the South Shore’s Congressional Delegation has tested positive for COVID-19.
Molly Rose Tarpey, the Director of Communications for U.S. Representative Stephen F. Lynch, says the Congressman received a positive test result Friday for COVID-19 after a staff member in his Boston office tested positive earlier in the week.
Tarpey says that while Lynch “remains asymptomatic and feels fine, he will self-quarantine and will vote by proxy in Congress during the coming week.”
Lynch received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine and subsequently received a negative COVID-19 test prior to attending President Biden’s Inauguration on January 20.
