A woman operating a scooter was struck by a car in Kingston.
The crash happened Monday just after noon on Main Street at the Howlands Lane intersection.
Police say that after the scooter was struck, the woman fell and struck her head on the pavement and was unresponsive.
A passerby, who is a physician’s assistant, helped officers perform CPR on the woman.
The woman responded to the life-saving efforts and awoke.
She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Her condition was not immediately known.
The driver of the car remained on scene and cooperated with police.
Officers say they initially found no unreasonable operation by the driver.
An investigation is ongoing.
