Several Hingham businesses were evacuated on Christmas Eve due to a bomb threat.
Hingham Police say that shortly before 3 p.m. the Marshalls located in the Lincoln Plaza at 400 Lincoln St., received a call of a bomb threat in a specific area inside the store.
Marshalls and four adjoining businesses were all evacuated and Police and Fire Officials conducted a brief search followed by a K9 from the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Unit.
They say no devices were found and Marshalls and the other stores were reopened shortly after 4 p.m.
The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is being asked to contact Det. Scott Tracey at 781-741-1443, anonymous tips can also be left on the department’s website.
