Eight people were displaced following a fire in Brockton Thursday afternoon.
The incident took place around noon when fire officials say they received a report of a building fire for 12 Wilkins Pl.
Upon arrival crews saw the occupants evacuating with heavy smoke pushing from the rear of a 2 1/2 story wood frame house.
Firefighters stretched hose lines were stretched and extinguished a fire in the kitchen.
No injuries were reported and the incident remains under investigation.
