Several South Shore Communities Holding 9/11 Ceremonies

 Several South Shore communities will be holding ceremonies today (Thursday) observing the 24th anniversary of the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks ceremonies.

Marshfield is holding a 9/11 ceremony a few minutes before ten this morning at station three on South River Street.

Duxbury will hold its annual nine-eleven ceremony at fire headquarters this morning at nine.

Weymouth firefighters are holding a ceremony at 8:30 at Emery Park where an 11-foot steel girder from the remains of the World Trade Center in New York City will be displayed to remember the 343 New City firefighters who died on 9/11.

In Scituate a ceremony will be held at station one on First Parish Road at 9:45.

Plymouth fire and police are holding a ceremony at the 9/11 memorial on Spooner Street at 9:45 this morning.

Cohasset will hold a ceremony at nine this morning on Cohasset Common. 

Kingston’s 9/11 ceremony begins at 8:30 this morning at fire headquarters on Pembroke Street.

A 9/11 ceremony will be held at Braintree fire headquarters at 8:30 on Union Place.

Brockton is holding a ceremony at city hall beginning at 8:30 this morning.
