Randolph Cruiser Damaged During Incident
One of several suspects arrested in connection with a violent Randolph street takeover failed to appear in Quincy District Court today.
Seventeen people, ages 19 to 31, were arrested following the incident that occurred on North Main Street in Randolph in October.
Some 100 people in vehicles doing donuts and burning rubber surrounded a Randolph police officer’s cruiser when arriving at the scene.
A nearby gas station was looted during the incident.
The arrests were made after suspects were identified through video footage and social media posts.
Police Chief Anthony Marag praised the actions of the officer who first responded to the chaotic scene when the crowd surrounded the cruiser throwing items and setting off fireworks.
A warrant was issued for the suspect who failed to appear today.
Four others were held without bail.
The remaining suspects are expected to be arraigned in the coming days.
