A Halifax man has died following a crash in Duxbury.

Police Chief Stephen McDonald says that at approximately 10 p.m. Tuesday they responded to a reported Motor Vehicle Crash on Winter St. in the area of Autumn Ave.

Upon arrival they found a gray Ram Pick Up truck that had struck a tree approximately ten feet off the roadway.

Fire personnel arrived on scene and determined that the driver, 54-year-old Joseph Noonan, had died.

McDonald says there were no other passengers in the vehicle.

A preliminary investigation has determined that the Ram was traveling west on Winter St. when it lost control, traveled off the road, and struck a tree.

There were no other vehicles involved.

The incident remains under investigation by Duxbury Police and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
