Carjacking Suspect Crashes Into Randolph Home

A teen carjacking suspect is in custody after crashing into a Randolph home.

Massachusetts State Police say the alleged carjacking took place around 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Walmart in Avon with police saying a silver handgun was shown. 

The vehicle, a 2012 Acura TL sedan, was then observed on Route 28 in Randolph and after confirming it was the stolen vehicle a trooper followed it behind the Market Liquors on Pond St.

The suspect then fled at a high rate of speed when the trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop.

During the course of the chase the Acura crossed through the northbound lane, went through a fence and crashed into the front porch of a house at 605 North Main St.

The suspect, identified only as a 16-year-old boy from Providence, was charged with Larceny of a motor vehicle; Negligent operation of a motor vehicle; Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle; Marked lanes violation; Speeding;. Lights violation; and Failure to stop for police.

He was released to a family member and will be scheduled by Norfolk Juvenile Court for arraignment in the near future.
