Town officials say that due to a mechanical failure, they have lost Well 19, which was able to generate 400,000 gallons per day, and was the town’s largest ground water source.
As a result they say it will be difficult to meet current summer-like demand.
All non-essential outdoor watering activities are not allowed while the ban is in effect as officials say this “may cause change in flow which may result in discolored water.”
