A police officer was one of two people sent to the hospital following a crash in Brockton Monday night.
Police spokesman Darren Duarte says the motor vehicle accident took place around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Montello St. and Lawrence St.
The incident began when 29-year-old Widly Bazile of Brockton allegedly ran the stoplight and crashed into a police cruiser that was driving through the intersection from Lawrence St.
Bazile then crashed into a nearby stone barrier.
Duarte says the force of the impact caused the Brockton Police Officer to hit a traffic light pole before she crashed into a fence belonging to the Eastern Ice Company on Lawrence St.
Both victims were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Bazile is being charged with running a stoplight and operating a vehicle with a revoked license.
