A Quincy group will be receiving a state grant to help train Certified Nursing Assistants.
The Baker-Polito Administration announced on Tuesday that 1199SEIU League will receive $500,000 provide training to prepare 100 unemployed and underemployed participants in partnership with Steward Morton Hospital, Steward Saint Anne’s Hospital, and Steward Good Samaritan Medical Center.
The funds were part of $5.4 million awarded through the Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Workforce Success Grants for Expanded Training Capacity & Employment Program Performance.
The grants were funded through an appropriation for the Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund and the federal American Rescue Plan Act.
