Quincy Police tell WATD News that a preliminary investigation has determined that 58-year-old Donald Bowes was crossing Newport Ave. by Holbrook Rd. when he was struck.
He was transported to Boston Medical Center where he later died.
Police say the driver, a 32-year-old woman from Quincy, remained on scene and is cooperating.
The road was closed for a while, but has since reopened.
The incident remains under investigation.
