Officials in Brockton are reporting a bear sighting.
The city says that at around 4:30 a.m. Friday a resident in the area of North Pearl St. and Healey Terr. captured the presence of a black bear on video wandering through their backyard.
There were no reports of the bear interacting with any members of the public.
Anyone who sees the animal, is being warned not to approach the bear.
Instead they are being advised to immediately, get to a safe location and contact either Brockton Animal Control at 508-580-7835; Brockton Police at 508-941-0200; or Massachusetts Environmental Police at 800-632-8075.
