Voters in Abington considered community preservation, and land conservation articles at Special Town Meeting.
Article 5 was approved, which includes nine acres of land, known as the McSharry Hancock Realty Trust property.
Town Manager, Scott Lambiase, says that because this article passed, the town is able to preserve natural resources.
Chairman of the Finance Committee, Daniel Eddy, says that it was great to see the community agree on a vote to pass the article.
The town voted to add conservation land with parcels that included Diane Circle, Jeremiah Sullivan Drive, and Rockland Street.
Abington Town Meeting concluded in one night.
