**UPDATE: The MBTA says that Kingston Line Train 058 is now operating approximately 2 hours 25 minutes behind schedule between Hanson and South Station. The train will be making flag stops so riders are being told to be visible on the platform.**
Crews were called to a fire on a Commuter Rail train.
Hanson Fire officials say they are handling a train fire at the Hanson MBTA station and the train has been evacuated.
Officials say the fire was contained to the engine compartment but Main St. is still blocked by the train.
As a result delays are being reported on the Kingston Line Train.
The MBTA says that train 055 has been terminated at Hanson “due to fire department activity.”
Passengers will be accommodated by Train 057 for continued outbound service.
At this time there is no official word regarding any potential damage or injuries.
