WATD’s Special Coverage of Election Results

95.9-FM, WATD, Plans Special Coverage of Election Results Throughout the Evening of Election Day. Tuesday evening, November 8th, and on its Popular South Shore’s Morning News with Rob Hakala from 5-10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9th. 
 

MARSHFIELD – WATD, 95.9 FM, New England’s most honored radio station, is planning special coverage of Election Day results with live and local continuous coverage Tuesday evening, November 8, from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. WATD News Director Christine James will host the program along with statistician and political analyst John Creed. In addition, WATD’s field of reporters will be out covering all the races important to the South Shore. The station will also have national updates from CBS News on the hour. 

WATD will recap all the election results the next morning on The South Shore’s Morning News with Rob Hakala from 5:00 to 10:00 a.m.

WATD will focus on election day results in key contests, including:

·      The 9th Congressional District race between incumbent US Rep. Bill Keating (D) and challenger Jesse Brown (R)

·      The Plymouth County District Attorney contest between incumbent Tim Cruz (R) and Rahsaan Hall (D)

·      The State Senate Norfolk/Plymouth District race between incumbent Sen. John Keenan (D) and Gary Innes (R)

·      The 6th Plymouth District State Representative contest between incumbent Josh Cutler (D) and his challenger, Ken Sweezey (R), and

·      The Plymouth County Commissioner’s race between incumbent Sandra Wright (R) and challenger Alex Bezanson (D)

 

Additional election coverage will continue Wednesday on WATD’s Midday Show with Audrey Constant, from 10 am to 2 pm, and throughout the day as results are updated.

Most of WATD’s programming is simulcast on Brockton’s WBMS, 101.1 FM and AM 1460, and key election results for the Brockton area will also be included on the broadcasts as they are reported by officials.
