The WATD High School Football Fantasy Draft is back!
There’s a fresh crop of young stars on the South Shore to pick from, and Quinn, Johnny, and Brendan are rearing to go for another season.
We’ll continue selecting one quarterback, two running backs, and two wide receivers, and this year we’ve added one team defense.

In a bit of friendly competition, we’ll see whose squad wins out each week.
Statistics will be used to calculate points on a modified fantasy scale, with touchdowns worth six points, quarterbacks receiving one point per 25 yards passed, and every 10 yards rushing or receiving earning one point as well.
Defensively, points will be strictly based on how many points a team surrenders. A shutout earns 10 points, while 1 to 6 points allowed earns 8, 7 to 13 earns 6, 14 to 20 earns 4, 21 to 27 earns 2, 28 to 34 earns 1, and 35+ does not earn any.
Week 1 Draft Results
While the final scores are not entirely completed, it was a tightly contested week. Brendan and Quinn were separated by just 0.3 points for the top spot.
Ben Scalzi (Hanover) earned top scorer and top quarterback honors with his 33.6 points (17/26 236 yds, 3 TD, 1 INT passing; 5 car, 22 yds, TD rushing). Casious Johnson (Plymouth South) was right behind with 32.1 points (7 car, 141 yds, 3 TD).
The top receiver of the week goes to Chris Oman (East Bridgewater) with at least 18.5 points on a day highlighted by two touchdowns, including one on a 65 yard reception.
Week 2 Draft
Though the prior week’s results were not finalized, the same order was repeated as last week, with Johnny picking first, Brendan selecting second, and Quinn third.
