Brown Water Alert Issued In Scituate

A brown water alert has been issued for Scituate.
Town officials the Fire Department is responding to a vehicle fire on Jericho Rd. in the vicinity of the Scituate Yacht Club.
As a result they say there could be brown water incidents in the surrounding area and some discoloration in the water.
Residents are also being urged to check for discoloration before doing laundry and allow the water to flush before using.
