In Plymouth, over nine thousand people have requested vote by mail ballots, and in-person early voting begins on May 9th…this, in the lead-up to the town election on May 18th.

Town Clerk Kelly McElreath says there were many voters…
“…over nine thousand, that received the post-card from the state and checked the box that said: all elections. And we currently have over nine thousand voters that will be receiving a vote-by-mail ballot for the local election—hope to get those out by the end of April.”
And the Town Clerk’s advice to those voting by mail:
“Vote the ballot when you receive it and then get it back to us as soon as possible so we can make sure that it’s counted.”
Concerning in-person early voting, McElreath says that begins on May
9th at Town Hall…
“…going every business day through Wednesday, May 15th as well as Saturday, May 11th.”
There will be a single candidate on the ballot for Selectman, and that is David Golden.
The candidates for one seat for a 5 year term on the Planning Board are Frank Mand and Timothy Bennett.
There are 5 candidates for 3 positions for 3 year terms on the School Committee. They are: Vedna Heywood, Ashley Shaw, Katherine Jackson, Hunter Young and Bethany Rogers.
Dennis Sampson returned papers for the 5 year term on the Housing Authority.
And, Stephen Michael Palmer returned nominations papers for the one five year term on the Redevelopment Authority.
