Plymouth North Baseball Ready to Defend Division 2 Crown

Last season saw one of the more dominant tournament runs in the Power Ranking era, as the Plymouth North baseball team captured it’s third state title.

The Eagles are no stranger to success, but you could be forgiven for thinking replicating that success would be challenging given the heavy attrition this year’s team faced.

For the guys waiting in the wings to take over the program, however, there were very few doubts.

As the regular season wraps up, Plymouth North finds itself once again sitting atop the Division 2 field, primed to enter the tournament as the top seed.

Their take-on-all-comers attitude hasn’t waned in their title defense season, and the Eagles racked up several signature wins en route to a second consecutive Patriot League title.

On Sunday night, Plymouth North’s captains Will Novak, Jake Novak, Noah Mackenzie, and Matt Nardone joined the Sports Exchange to take us through their impressive regular season.

With the page turning to the postseason, we heard why the captains think the Eagles are ready to repeat.
