A second man has been charged in connection with a deadly Brockton shooting.
The Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office says that 24-year-old Jaylen Speed of Dorchester was arraigned Thursday in Brockton District Court with one count of Accessory After the Fact for allegedly helping homicide suspect Davinci Leonard evade capture.
Brockton Police received a 911 call on the evening of March 22 reporting a shooting outside the Chipotle located at 500 Westgate Dr.
Two victims, 18-year-old Cevannah Alvarez and 15-year-old Tymari Albertson, were found suffering from gunshot wounds and later died from their injuries.
The 22-year-old Leonard was identified as a suspect.
Investigators determined that Speed provided his cell phone to Leonard for him to communicate with others while making initial steps to evade capture.
A Quincy man, 32-year-old David Mosley-Lott was also accused of helping Leonard and was ordered held without bail Tuesday pending a dangerousness hearing in District Court.
Speed pleaded not guilty and was held on $50,000 cash bail, placed on GPS monitoring, ordered to home confinement if released and ordered to stay away and have no contact with any witnesses in his case.
