We can’t wait for you to meet Sunshine! With classic orange cat energy, Sunshine is just that, a bright light!
Here’s a bit about Sunshine:
He previously lived with other cats, so Sunshine will likely fit into most homes.
Sunshine was found to have a heart murmur on his intake exam, he had an echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart) that confirmed a diagnosis of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a congenital thickening of the heart muscle. He will require medication and regular follow-up care with a veterinary cardiologist and a close relationship with a general practice.
While he may come with some medical challenges, you’ll love in love with his amazing personality and handsome looks to match!
Scituate Animal Shelter does NOT respond to PetFinder inquires; they only respond to emails sent to adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org regarding adoption inquires.
Scituate Animal Shelter also never knows how quickly a pet will be adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in a pet but want to see them during the shelter open hours prior to filling out an application, they strongly recommend that you email adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org before visiting the shelter to ensure they are still there.
Open hours are Wednesdays 1:30-6pm, and Saturdays and Sundays 10am-2pm for you to come view their adoptable pets. You can apply for animal at the shelter during their open hours or online by emailing adopt@scituateanimalshelter.org and asking for an application. Adoption fees allow our non-profit to continue to help pets in need.
Meet and greets with animals are scheduled after applications have been processed and they’ve determined you are the best fit. We do not operate on a first come, first served basis.
Scituate Animal Shelter also has a few events to let you know about:
The first is an on-line Halloween costume contest. Go and vote HERE!
They also have an adoption/fundraising event on October 26th called Dogs, Donuts and Adoptions. You can read more about that below:
