Rabies-Positive Skunk and Woodchuck Identified
Carver police are warning residents of two rabies-positive wild animals in town.
Police say a rabies-positive skunk has been identified in the area of Snapit Road and a rabid woodchuck has been spotted in the area of High Street.
If anyone sees an animal acting erratically to contact the Carver animal control officer at 508-866-3444.
Residents are urged to have their pets vaccinated against rabies and keep a close eye on them when they’re outside.
If anyone is scratched or bitten by a wild animal they should seek immediate medical attention.
