 South Shore VoTech Funding Approved

 

Hanover voters approved a debt exclusion and reelected two incumbent school committee members.

The debt exclusion funds the town’s share of the cost of the new South Shore Regional Technical School.

There were 814 votes in favor and 359 opposed.

School committee incumbents Peter Miraglia and Jaclyn Ferguson were reelected fending off challenger Hanley Scott for two seats.

Miraglia led the race with 717 votes and Ferguson second with 677.

Scott received 547.

The other races were uncontested including the select board race with incumbents Vanessa O’Connor and James Hoyes returning.
