Former Selectboard Member Returns
A Pembroke selectboard incumbent was reelected and a former board member is returning while voters rejected joining the South Shore Technical School district.
Incumbent Tracy Marino topped the four-way race for two selectboard seats with 2,055 votes in Saturday’s election.
Former selectboard member Steve Ciciotti won the second seat with 1,848 votes.
Both defeated challengers Tara Lenaghan who had 1,141 and Chris Perry with 872.
In the board of health race, Adam Gedutis was elected with 1,801 votes, defeating challenger Judith George with 1,349.
Stephanie Ciciotti and Kathy Benvy won the two seats on the library trustees defeating Willamina Panacy.
The other races were unopposed.
Voters rejected the South Shore Technical School override by 1,242 votes, 2,290 opposed and 1.148 in favor.
The related debt exclusion was turned down by 1,088 votes, 2,249 opposed and 1,161 in support.
Town officials had proposed the town join the South Shore Technical School district so Pembroke students could attend.
