The Department of Conservation and Recreation will be holding a meeting Wednesday night to discuss a proposed road closure in the Blue Hills.
Officials say the proposal would lead to a pilot closure of Chickatawbut Rd. and Wampatuck Rd. that is slated to take place over the summer.
The closures would be in effect between 6 p.m.Friday and 6 p.m. Sunday with officials saying the goal is centered on “conservation efforts in the Blue Hills Reservation and public well-being and safety.”
Officials say access will be maintained for hikers, walkers, bikers, and emergency vehicles.
The meeting will take place over zoom and the public will be able to provide comments after a presentation by unmuting their microphones.
Comments can also be submitted via the DCR Public Comment Portal.
The meeting will take place between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and a can be accessed by clicking here.
