Bridgewater Little League’s historic season ended Saturday when they were eliminated from the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Ohio shut out Bridgewater 10 to nothing in the knockout round.
Bridgewater clinched the state little league championship three weeks ago then went on to win the New England Regional to punch their ticket to their first ever world series.
Governor Maura Healey said in a social media post that the team made Massachusetts proud.
Bridgewater was the second Bay State team to compete in the little league World Series.
Braintree was last year’s state and New England champs that went on to national stage.
