How would you like to meet Cookie? Cookie is almost 8 months old, weighs approximately 42 pounds, and she is estimated to be of an Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is affectionate, playful, and full of personality. She enjoys being active but is also happy to settle down for a nap or cuddle with her people. Currently she is with Buddy & Friends Animal Rescue in Pembroke.
HOUSE TRAINING: Fully house-trained and crate trained.
LEASH SKILLS: Walks nicely with minimal pulling.
FAVORITE THINGS: Walks, toys, hard chew bones, belly rubs, playing outside, and spending time with her people.
PEOPLE: Friendly with new people and visitors.
OTHER DOGS: Loves other dogs and respects when they have had enough.
HOUSE MANNERS: Does not bark excessively or chew furniture.
CATS: Cats and other small animals are unknown.
Cookie can become jumpy and mouthy when she is excited and may chase or nip during play. Her foster family is working on redirecting her and helping her settle when she becomes overstimulated. She would do best with older, dog-savvy children ages 12+ and a family willing to continue working on her puppy manners.
Cookie is a loving little shadow who always wants to be near her people. While her foster family cooks, she stretches out in the middle of the kitchen and stays completely unbothered as everyone steps over her. She rolls onto her back whenever there is a chance for belly rubs and has a way of making everyone feel like they are her favorite person.
All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.
