The Veteran’s Voice Food Drive-Thru, will be taking place Thursday in front of the WATD studios.
Co-Host Craig Wolfe says it’s open to anyone in need – not just veterans.
“The volunteers come at 10 o’clock, we get a full trailer of food, from South Shore Community Action Council – I picked up 5,000 meals from Matt Martin at End Hunger here in Pembroke,” said Wolfe. “We have an assembly line, probably 30 volunteers come.”
He says it’s like a family, with returning volunteers each event. People often pick up food for homebound seniors or neighbors in need.
“Everyone has something they love to do. Some like to unload the trailer, some like to load the cars,” said Wolfe. “It’s really fun, we have a nice team, everyone gets along.”
The Veteran’s Voice food drive-thru takes place from noon until 1 at the WATD studios, 130 Enterprise Drive, in Marshfield.
