There was possible ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) action in Marshfield on Wednesday.
WATD has several inquiries into the ICE media contact, asking for confirmation.
One law enforcement official, speaking to us on condition of anonymity, confirming that ICE agents were in town.
Marshfield Police Chief Phil Tavares told WATD News, “They (ICE) told us they would be in town, but not where they would be, or what they were doing–and, they did not notify us of what they may have done.”
Rumor had placed the pick-up of one, possibly two people, between the Roche Brothers parking lot and the Mia Regazza Restaurant, in the Proprietors Drive area shortly after 10 a.m.
A black SUV with Pennsylvania tags was reportedly seen where this occurred.
Roche Brothers Manager, John Elliot, said he did not see anything in the parking lot, and he was in the store starting at 6 a.m.
Mia Regazza owner, John J. Martin, said there were no ICE agents at his restaurant.
WATD will update this story with any new information we receive.
