Peter Drummey Joins WATD to Discuss the Origins of Halloween

Peter Drummey, the Chief Historian and Librarian from the Mass. Historical Society joined WATD to discuss tricks, treats, and the origins of Halloween.

The tradition of going door-to-door trick or treating, and carving pumpkins came from Scottish and Irish cultures. In Scotland, they carved turnips, instead of pumpkins.
