An arraignment date has been scheduled for a Duxbury mother charged with killing her three children.
Lindsay Clancy, 32, has been charged with the murders of 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 8-month-old Callan Clancy. She was accused of strangling them.
Plymouth County District Attorney Tim Cruz says she is currently being treated in a Boston hospital after she jumped from the second floor of her Duxbury home.
On Friday, a judge granted a request for a forensic psychologist to examine Clancy.
“I have to gather all the evidence, all the medical records, but I will say that I’ve already had a toxicologist examine the medications this poor woman was on, and it’s just horrific,” said her attorney, Kevin Reddington. “I’ve had a forensic psychologist meet with her and talk with her. She is immobile in the hospital. It’s not just a horrible case, it’s a human tragedy. Terrible.”
An arraignment was scheduled for Tuesday in Plymouth District Court.
“What I would like to see is that she continue with her medical treatment. In due course, when she’s transferred from the hospital, I’m sure that she’s going to need rehabilitation,” said Reddington. “I’d like to see her sent to Spaulding Rehab, perhaps on a GPS, but she’s not going anywhere.”
According to the District Attorney’s Office, Lindsay Clancy will appear via Zoom from a hospital. Counsel will be in-person at the courthouse.
