A Brockton man is facing gun charges after Rockland Police say he crashed into a trash truck and ran away from the scene.
Around 7 a.m. this morning, Officers Patrick Tanner, Clifton Aquino, and Sergeant Thomas MacDonald responded to the area of Union and Park Street.
While investigating, a witness told Tanner the operator of the vehicle ran across Union Street, and hid what appeared to be a gun.
He found a 9-millimeter “ghost gun,” made with Glock-style parts, and no serial number. Officers seized a 30-round magazine.
The operator of the vehicle was identified as 20-year-old Christian Cordero.
He was arrested and faces charges that include illegal possession of a firearm without a license, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, and improper storage of a firearm.
