The WATD Fantasy Draft is back! Week 7 is here, and with the playoff push officially ON, it’s time for the boys to get their squads in order.

We’ll continue selecting one quarterback, two running backs, and two wide receivers, and this year we’ve added one team defense.

In a bit of friendly competition, we’ll see whose squad wins out each week.

Statistics will be used to calculate points on a modified fantasy scale, with touchdowns worth six points, quarterbacks receiving one point per 25 yards passed, and every 10 yards rushing or receiving earning one point as well.

Defensively, points will be strictly based on how many points a team surrenders. A shutout earns 10 points, while 1 to 6 points allowed earns 8, 7 to 13 earns 6, 14 to 20 earns 4, 21 to 27 earns 2, 28 to 34 earns 1, and 35+ does not earn any.

Week 6 Draft Results

While the final scores are not entirely completed, it was another tightly contested week.

In the season’s best performance to date, Alex Barlow (Duxbury, Brendan’s Squad) exploded in the Dragon’s win over Silver Lake, rushing for 162 yds and 4 TDs. Barlow netted 40.2 points, the weekly top scorer, and top running back awards.

Todd Egan (SSVT; Quinn’s Squad) earned top quarterback honors with his 34.4 points. Egan continued to prove himself one of the best dual-threat QBs on the South Shore, rushing for 151 yds and 3 TDs.

Three of the six receivers drafted finished with double-digit points, but it Lawson Foley (Scituate, Brendan’s Squad) narrowly edging out Owen Cross (Hanover, Quinn’s Squad) for top receiver honors.

Foley finished with 15.7 points on a 4 reception, 97 yard, one touchdown day. Cross was a half-point behind at 15.2, finishing with 2 receptions for 32 yards and 2 TDs.
