The WATD Fantasy Draft is back! It’s Final Four weekend, and everyone is ready to put on their best performance. With the South Shore’s top stars to choose from, the boys put together their draft boards.

We’ll continue selecting one quarterback, two running backs, and two wide receivers, and this year we’ve added one team defense.

In a bit of friendly competition, we’ll see whose squad wins out each week.

Statistics will be used to calculate points on a modified fantasy scale, with touchdowns worth six points, quarterbacks receiving one point per 25 yards passed, and every 10 yards rushing or receiving earning one point as well.

Defensively, points will be strictly based on how many points a team surrenders. A shutout earns 10 points, while 1 to 6 points allowed earns 8, 7 to 13 earns 6, 14 to 20 earns 4, 21 to 27 earns 2, 28 to 34 earns 1, and 35+ does not earn any.

Week 10 Draft Results

In perhaps our most explosive scoring week to date, Brendan took home the win behind a 48.9 point effort from quarterback Ben Scalzi (Hanover)

Scalzi tossed six touchdowns and had over 300 yards as the Hawks punched their ticket to the Final Four.

Brendan had wisely double-dipped, and took Hanover’s top receiver John McDonald, who’s multiphased dominance earned 40.6 points. McDonald had six catches for 156 yards and three touchdowns, while also banging home three extra points and a field goal.

Jameson Helms (Carver, Johnny’s Squad) took home top running back honors, earning 24.8 points with a two touchdown, 100 yard day.

Several other players crossed the 20 point threshold, too, including Alex Barlow (Duxbury) and Lawson Foley (Scituate) on Brendan’s squad, Michael Wildfire (Cohasset) and Nic Cupples (Marshfield) on Johnny’s squad, and Henry Hasselbeck (Xaverian) and Davin True (Marshfield) on Quinn’s squad.
