Five local teams remain as we swing into the Elite 8 of the 2025 MIAA Baseball Tournament!
Three teams will have one last chance to play on their homefield this season as they vie for state semifinal spots.
Braintree earned a surprise home game as the eight seed after top-seeded Taunton was eliminated in the opening round of the Division 1 tournament.
The top seeded team in Division 2 is still standing, though. Plymouth North continued their quest to repeat with a 3-0 shutout of 17th ranked Billerica. Fueled by a five-hit shutout from junior Liam Pearson, the defending champs broke the scoreless stalemate with a trio of runs in the 6th.
