The South Shore will join the nation in honoring veterans on Memorial Day.
In Marshfield, the annual parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. at Library Plaza and proceed to the Town Green from Ocean Street for a ceremony. Remembrance ceremonies begin at 7:30 a.m. at Winslow Cemetery then proceed to the other cemeteries.
Hingham will have a ceremony in the town hall auditorium beginning at 11 a.m.
Plymouth’s parade begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Memorial Hall on Court Street then continues to town hall for a ceremony. Guest speaker will be Dr. Paul Jehle, Senior Pastor of the New Testament Church in Cedarville.
Cohasset’s 20th Field of Honor Display dedication featuring 1,000 American flags is Saturday at 1 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park. The Memorial Day parade begins at 10 a.m. Monday at the South Shore Music Circus.
Weymouth’s ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the Ralph Talbot Amphitheater next to town hall.
The annual Scituate Memorial Day parade steps off at town hall on Route 3A at 10:30 a.m. and proceeds to First Parish Road to Lawson Common for a ceremony at 11:15 a.m.
A flotilla will be held at 8 a.m. at the harbormaster’s office.
The Norwell parade and ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the UCC Church on Main Street and proceeds to the town common for a ceremony.
Braintree will hold its annual ceremony Sunday morning at 11 at the garden of Honor at Blue Hills Cemetery.
There will be no parade in Pembroke this year, but a ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Veterans Park in front of First Church.
Kingston will hold its parade Monday at 10 a.m. It steps off from Vineyard Church on Hilltop Avenue and proceeds to town hall for a ceremony and cookout.
Quincy’s Memorial Day parade begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday at 100 Quincy Avenue and makes its way up Hancock Street to Mount Wollaston Cemetery for a ceremony.
In Brockton, the annual Memorial Day parade is on Saturday and begins at 10 a.m. at the War Memorial Building on West Elm Street to City Hall Plaza.
In Carver, the parade will begin Monday at 9:30 a.m. on Main Street.
Halifax will hold a ceremony at 9:30 Monday morning at the new Veterans Memorial Garden behind the Town Hall, 499 Plymouth Street.
Hanson’s parade begins at 10 a.m. at the Indian Head School, marches to town hall for a ceremony, then continues to Fern Hill Cemetery.
In Hull, the Memorial Day parade starts at the high school at 9:30 a.m. and goes to the Gold Star Mothers Monument for a ceremony at 10 a.m.
The Rockland Memorial Day ceremony will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial on Taunton Avenue.
The Duxbury parade steps off at 10 a.m. Monday at Myles Standish Cemetery and proceeds through Hall’s Corner, to Depot Street, and ends at the Mayflower Cemetery Civil War memorial for a ceremony. There will be a formal ceremony at 11:15 at First Parish Church followed by a light luncheon at the Duxbury Post 223.
Randolph has two ceremonies Monday. The first will be held at Elks Memorial at town hall at 8:30 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m a ceremony will get underway at the War Memorial by the Turner Free Library followed by a parade to St. Mary’s and Central cemeteries on North Street.
East Bridgewater is holding its ceremony at 10 a.m Monday on the town common.
Abington’s Memorial Day ceremony will be held at 9 a.m at Mount Vernon Cemetery.
In West Bridgewater, a ceremony will be held Monday morning at 10 at War Memorial Park.
Holbrook’s annual parade begins at the middle/senior high school at 10 a.m. Monday and proceeds to Mary Wales Park for a ceremony.
The Whitman parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. Monday on Court Street and makes its way to town hall for a 9:45 AM ceremony and continues to the Civil War monument at Town Park for a ceremony.
Bridgewater’s annual parade begins at 10 Monday morning on Perkins Street and ends at the War Memorial at the town common for a ceremony.
The Lakeville Historical Commission will hold its annual Memorial Day observance starting at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Lakeville Fire Station and Town Office Building Veterans Memorial where a wreath will be placed. The observance will move on to the World War I Memorial Dickran Diran Square where remarks will be made.
