A Brockton man was arrested in North Carolina on Wednesday in connection with a 2017 shooting in Boston.
The charge stems from an incident that took place on November 6, 2017 when Boston Police say officers responded to the area of Massachusetts Ave. and Boylston St. for a report of shots fired.
As the officers were responding a motor vehicle accident occurred at 333 Massachusetts Avenue and the driver was suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim, identified as 37-year-old Brent Stevenson was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries, before he was later pronounced deceased.
The suspect, 40-year-old Alan Lewis, was taken into custody in Charlotte, North Carolina by members of the Boston Police Fugitive Unit, US Marshals, and Massachusetts State Police following an extensive multi-agency investigation.
Police say Lewis is expected to be arraigned at a later date on the charge of Murder.
